How has your week been? Nothing new over here. We are still waiting to hear from the bank to see if we can consider that new property. I sold quite a few of the kids toys from last weeks clutter challenge so the boys made some extra money (and were pretty excited about that part!). This week we are decluttering the bathrooms. That is definitely another area that clutters fast!
This Weeks Featured Homesteading Post: Foraging for Black Huckleberries
I have two reasons for featuring Foraging for Black Huckleberries from One Acre Farm The first is that I am hoping to “forage” this week, although I think cholla buds are quite a bit different than black huckleberries! The second is because of my father in-law. My father in law's favorite ice cream is Huckleberry Pie. Of course, you can't find it around here anymore. For Christmas I was going to make him some Huckleberry Pie ice cream, but when I found out the price to get the berries I had to scrap the idea. I would have to create the ice cream recipe so there needed to be a little room for error and we figured the berries alone would cost us close to $50! I definitely wish we could grow huckleberries here 🙂 One Acre Farm also has a post on huckleberry ice cream (although not huckleberry pie ice cream!).
