I'm not good at taking food pics… but the pulled pork was delicious (on homemade hamburger buns)

This is one of the simplest dinner recipes! Last time we had it I paired it with the fast homemade hamburger buns and it was definitely a hit. Crockpot recipes are my favorite because they are so simple. This one is no exception! Even the rolls are simple to do so it makes a delicious, easy, dinner.

Crock Pot Pulled Pork

Ingredients:

  • Pork Sirloin Tip Roast
  • Onion Soup Mix
  • Barbeque Sauce

Directions:

Put the pork in the crock pot and sprinkle the onion soup mix on top. Add a couple cups of water and let it simmer all day. When it is finished cooking pull the pork apart and add the barbeque sauce. You can add it in the crockpot or add it once you put it on the bun (since I have messy children that is the way I do it!)

It is a pretty cheap recipe as well. I get the pork from Costco. It is $1.99/lb there and I use 2-3 pounds for the recipe. Onion soup mix goes on sale quite often (for around $1 for a package of two).

Single person recipes are just as hard as super large families. We even had extras as a couple! You can always get one of those made for dip small crockpots and try a half recipe 🙂 it would still be enough for 2-3 meals though.

Heidi, I love Crockpot pulled pork amazingly. Its my bad when I am going to make it, always make mistakes. Although just noted your ingredients. Do you have more easy recipes specially for single person? I am looking recipes flavorsome for breakfast, dinner and lunch. 🙂

I do a lot of recipes – but you would have to cut them all in half for a single person (and still expect leftovers for an extra meal). I used to get a great magazine that had recipes for couples before we had kiddos. I searched for it, but I can’t seem to find it so I don’t think they print it anymore (I’m pretty sure it was a Taste of Home). Taste of Home Simple and Delicious magazine has some good quick/easy recipes though so my guess is the “taste of home small meals” magazine became that one. If you get that one be sure to go through MrRebates and magazines.com. A 2 year subscription there is $15.78 and you will get a 20% rebate, making it only $6.31/year for the magazine 🙂
